Oh, yes, it’s a gift I wouldn’t give to my worst enemy. I’d prefer my neurological and mental health issues to play nicely with me, not so much with each other.

The ASPCA poison control is worth its weight in gold. Well worth the $90 fee per call. It saved me having to take both Kiernan and Rey to the emergency vet when they ate most of a container of calming treats. Even helped me get Rey to 🤮🤮. She was one stubborn princess.

Not enough hands for pictures when you have to carry the hound, too. Hope to see both girls again to get pics.

With my luck, I’ll also have horrific nightmares all night. Because while my brain was not assembled correctly, it does like connecting all the fun stuff together.

What the JAMA report today was *actually* focused on:

“… several new low-global-warming metered-dose inhalers are expected to launch in the US as high-priced brand-name products, so patients without robust insurance coverage [would] be left behind."

Not to mention, even the US finally stopped using the worst propellants in inhalers. Just let me breathe (or wheeze) in peace.

I was raised a third generation Cub’s fan. In the painful days of my youth, we were just bad. I eventually cut ties for my mental health. Well, that and I find bat and ball games far more fun to play than to watch. At least my dad lived to see the curse broken.

All in all, I’m quite pleased with K’s new vet and thrilled that very good 24 hour emergency care is so close. You hope you never need it but my piebald boy is a frequent flier compared to his late siblings. He’s why I have the ASPCA poison control number saved in my contacts list. 🤮🙄

Three weeks post injury and Kiernan is walking almost perfectly. Still on tapering steroids for the inflammation effecting that nerve. It all turned out so much better than the broken leg I initially feared. Or the fully avulsed nerve the ER vet thought was a worst case scenario.

Carried Kiernan to the neighborhood park/flood control area for his evening sniff ‘n potty™️. We met two hound girls! A gorgeous white and grey Iggy with a pink harness was cool and chic. K got to sniff noses with a bouncy chocolate girl with fluffy ears. She just turned one.

100% agree. It was brutal.

Ah, I’m looking for NM food. Moved here from Albuquerque in May and missing my green chile. I keep meaning to check out Tempe food places, too. My church is there.

I live in Ahwatukee. I’ve found multiple good places here and in Chandler. Taquerias are some of the only really good food I’ve found locally. Almost everything else is Midwestern bland.
