Film - #WeaponsMovie - Has a strong start, quirky middle, but slips a bit near the bloody end . This is mostly due to trying to tie up all the loose ends with a bloody bow, regardless, it's batshit crazy, original & a must see movie this year!

Film - #FantasticFour    - Despite early pacing issues, story choices, no real major heroic scenes until the last 35 mins, F4 is endearing, flashy & neat in the 60's esque backdrop for the majority of the movie. It is now my 2nd fav F4 movie. The first? The Incredibles!!!

Film - #Superman - is like something straight out of a comic book (shout out to Jim Kelly) & entertains with fantastical sci-fi I enjoyed 95% of the time. Mr Terrific steals the show, while Hoult's Luther is impressive throughout. A new DCU is upon us, embrace it!

TV - #SquidGameSeason3    - Delivers with a brutal season, which is closer to reality than some would have expected . While it should have been a longer S2, most storylines are tied up, while hints to a western larger spin off could be intriguing -
Dark - Brutal - Sombre Finale

Film - #dangerousanimals - Brings out a great unhinged performance from Jai Courtney, as a serial killing shark loving loner. Picking the wrong prey (Hassie Harrison's Zephyhr), leads to shark infested cat & house chase till the bloody end.
Bloody - Thrilling - Good Final Girl

Film - #28YearsLater - is a mixed bag for me. A potent first half is dulled by a turn ( you will know what) which ramps up weird character choices & conveniences. Ralph Fiennes comes in to restore balance, but it's derailed again by a bizarre ending. It's fine.
Uneven - Artsy - Gory - Fine

Film - #predatorkillerofkillers - Brings the big guns to the hunt in this action packed anthology. It's bloody, intense & it all comes together in an intriguing finale. Once I adapted to the animation style, I never looked back.
LIVE ACTION SEQUEL PLZ!
Brilliant - Gory - 5 star

Film - #TheRitual (2025) is a slow burner flick, which is elevated by Dan Stevens & Pacino's subtle perormance. All the known excorism tropes are hit, though when it does it's own thing, it becomes more intriguing.

Film - #FinalDestinationBloodlines sets up this new sequel with a great big opening scene, that leads to a funny, smart, brutal ride till the end. It feels a lot more self aware than past efforts. The way Tony Todd was tied into the main plot was a nice touch!
Funny - Grim - Self-aware

Film - #freakytales - has all the elements present to become a cult classic, great performances, memorable scenes & genuinely enjoyable short stories which all connect well in the freaky universe! Enjoy!

Bloody - Bizarre - Entertaining

Film - #Thunderbolts - follows the Marvel formula to a 'T' including all the known problems that comes with it. However it was still a fine flick for the bank holiday, also it's good to see a not nerfed Winter Soldier again.
