Another environmental group, Southern Utah Climbers Alliance, has been in opposition. While not fans of the new highway, the deal includes at least a temporary protection for Moe's Valley to the southwest that is also a tortoise habit and also the only home on the planet to the Bear Claw Poppy.

Mia Bailey sentenced, faces life in prison for murder of parents The woman who surprisingly pleaded guilty last month to killing her parents inside their Washington County home could spend the rest of her life in prison after being sentenced on Friday.

Mia Bailey will spend the next 50 years to life for killing her Washington City parents and nearly killing her brother. That brother testified during her sentencing hearing Friday morning that regardless of the sentence, there were no winners.

Foul odor from St. George dairy plant prompts city enforcement action  A pungent smell of old milk and ice cream waste has been wafting through south St. George for several days, emanating from a facility that neighbors say has been causing similar problems for years.

City is telling DFA to fix the waste system issue at its plant that has caused a pungent stench in the south side of St. George in 10 days or face sanctions. More on @fox13now at 5.

In a statement to FOX 13 News, DFA said, "We are aware of recent concerns regarding intermittent odors at our St. George plant. We take these concerns seriously and have already implemented corrective actions."
