The first thing I saw when I looked at this picture was Ticket to Ride.

L'Shana Tovah! May we all be sealed for a life of health, safety, and contentment in this new year. It's a scary world right now, but every little thing we do to make it better is a blessing and a mitzvah. It feels sisyphean but together, even with little steps, we'll fix this. I have faith in us.

I just had bariatric surgery and I don't yet know what my fast will look like this year. I know that I *need* to hydrate regardless.

Did the welder weld the hinge shut? Looks like this is just a really expensive strap. Also, there's no fence to the left of the hinge. Just a freestanding gate welded shut? So many questions!

If it helps, the second time you also brought down the rest of the table target than just yourself. That feels like progress of a sort.

A mostly white kitten with brown markings across her face sits in my lap. I'm wearing jeans and a white T-shirt. Both my shirt and my long beard match the colors of the kitten. Behind us are RPG books and comics on shelves.

Not everything is awful today. I have new kittens! This is Lily (short for Lithium) and she crawled into my lap and started purring. Her sister, Sam (Xanax) is more shy.

It went great! Healing is going to be a pain but looking forward to a full recovery.

Maybe? I haven't tried, but I think Same Bat Time might work. If I Were a Lich Man definitely wants to be in person due to sharing a drink together as part of the game.

Slightly diminish a band: Scantily Clad Lady

If I Were A Lich Man - Box Set If I Were a Lich, Man is a trilogy of funny Jewish roleplaying games about creative resistance against authoritarianism.

Lucian Kahn did a set of three Jewish TTRPGs - though Same Bat Time, Same Bat Mitzvah is kind of LARPy. They're all very much in the indie game side of things, so not exactly D&D, but seem like really great experiences that I'd love to play.

As much as I love the movie, and I really really do, it needs another 15-30 minutes of exposition and denouement to dive into a few more things. There's more room to explore.

Seriously! The looks you get from doctors when you tell them you have no family medical history is wild.

A character I'm playing was infected by a magical language and it rewrote his personhood. He just abandoned his wife and kids and wandered off. There's no way that won't be a problem later.
