The Kansas driver license thing is just the sublimation of every time I've said that we should be abolishing the gender marker instead of allowing it to be changed or having an "X" gender marker.

Certainly doesn't help that a large majority of people fundamentally do not understand / don't believe in what gender identity actually is. This isn't some social, philosophical concept. It's a literal, scientific, biologically based core identity in the same vein as sexual orientation.

It is very hard not to have a safe choice to use the bathroom in public.

It may be impossible to continue living, working, eating, etc without a valid driver's license if your life was built around driving and the assumption that your license wouldn't be invalidated overnight by the legislature.

Kansas just invalidated the drivers licenses of every trans person in the state. They’re being told to surrender their current licenses and get new ones listing their birth sex. No grace period. Get caught driving with your now-invalid license and you’re looking at jail and a fine.

I'll fumble writing this but the outrage that Houston and Fillmore whipped up over bike lanes partly led to these drastic and horrific cuts. There were successful in getting some people blaming bike lanes and people who ride bikes for other issues in the city and province. 1/2

I am now both completely for it and even more against it, because the people who deserve it are more likely to be the ones dishing it out instead.
