US residents: If you pay attention to local politics, and you have followers local to you and there are elections in your area, post your recs! Shockingly many don't pay attention to local stuff. Local elections is the single most likely place for your posts to actually influence votes!

I'm sure there are exceptions, and even entire contexts where the following does not apply. But referring to human women and girls as "females" in ordinary discourse is usually a sign that someone is an awful person.

I think one answer would be their record aside from seeking elected office. That is, have they done anything in politics that would indicate possessing principles? Worked with organizations, worked for other candidates, anything besides run for office themselves to indicate a trajectory.
