That’s a relaxed sentinel if ever I saw one, keeping their human safe (my 18 year old British short hair is equally as vigilant!). Good health to you both.

This is what makes teaching special, to witness such insight and thoughtfulness is a real privilege. Thank you for sharing.

I can still smell the after effects of this, years later - it seemed to coat everything. Or else my Dad was just catastrophically bad at carving and splattered the innards everywhere, well he was so bad at DIY that he was nicknamed Reg Prescott by us 4. I proudly carry the DIY baton now, diolch Dad!

I understood the article, thank you Manuel, πŸ‘ Such disregard, as shown by this individual, of a monument to the past is chilling. Where I live, the old county of Gwynedd, we are surrounded by a ring of Edwardian castles in an attempt to subdue us, also some 900 years ago. Well, Yma o Hyd to that…

It was levelled to make a pond?! Such vandalism and negligence. Am horrified that anyone could be so cavalier with regards to the destruction of their own history; what other historically important site or artefact has been destroyed there?

I sincerely hope it illustrates, to other communities, that those who wish to have us live in fear can and will be defeated.

Perhaps have a look at Caerffili/Caerphilly, in Cymru/Wales* when Reform unexpectedly, according to the BBC, etc., etc, lost a Senedd by-election to Plaid Cymru.
*Wales = Anglo-Saxon word for foreigner, given to the Britons who were here before them!
Cymru, means fellow countrymen or compatriots 🏴󠁧󠁒󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Felinheli football team 'mocked for speaking Welsh' sparks probe The team claim players, coaching staff, and supporters of their opponents mocked them throughout the game.

Imagine disparaging a language. To make it sting even more, within our own borders, the mind fair boggles. Drist iawn. Gobeithio bod hwn cael ei drin asap.

Were used to it in Wales, sadly. The sooner we Celts leave this unhealthy relationship the better, I’ve no wish to be controlled by Westminster.

HMP Berwyn: Welsh-speaking prisoners 'told to speak English' in prison Ex-inmates say Welsh speakers were made to use English at Wales' biggest prison.

To have my own language treated like dirt in my own country (yes, am claiming my birthright, power of Greyskull and all that!), is disgusting and utterly appalling. All of us in Wales have a legal right to speak Cymraeg (1 of our 2 official languages). Do better HMP!

Starmer never visited Caerfilli. Farage was there as often as he is in the US. Reform lobbed so much at winning and failed, by quite a margin, has it hit its ceiling?

Turns out moidering about immigration in a county that has only 2.9% non UK born isn’t a vote winner

Chris Mason: Extraordinary Caerphilly by-election humbles Westminster's big beasts Plaid Cymru win 47% of the vote in a record turnout, while Labour and the Tories manage just 13% between them.

Caerffili, bore da, what a result, diolch yn fawr Iawn! If we get the vote out, we can smash the Tories (2%, 🀭), give Labour a bloody nose, as for Reform, Wales is not England…
As the famous badger watcher Ron Davies said, "Devolution is a process and not an event.”
