There were occasional vomit books in UK libraries when I was a kid. I always assumed it was a glue/binding related thing but I dont know.

A mountain view in Switzerland looking towards Interlaken between the two lakes.

Interlaken is a funny place! Pretty much invented Swiss tourism back in the day. Stayed near there a while back - you an see Interlaken in the distance form where we were.

I see all these weird (to me) things with EU stuff, like get the EU to fund security reviews etc, but people are struggling to build viable businesses that are sustainable even (especially?) in the domains people want sovereign tech.

sorry yeah no I meant only for the first point, vs complete "ownership" I totally agree you need the expertise and ability to delivery with it etc.

Seen some EU demands that looked like 1, but I think most open source people would agree that ability to fork is all you need here.

How Airbus took off - Works in Progress Magazine Airbus is an example of successful industrial policy and the rare European company that is better than its American rival. Could its success be copied elsewhere?

Don't know if there is a book but worksinprogress.co/issue/how-ai... was a nice overview

Well David Brent continued that rumour...

David: A postage stamp is legal tender. A bus driver would have to accept that as currency.
Tim: Yeah. That'd happen!
David: Well if he doesn't, report him.
Tim: Yeah report him when I'm walking home.
Gareth: Get a taxi if you've got enough stamps.
