Well that went from hopeful to hellish in an hour.

I had my intake exam at my new dentist, everything was going great, and we made plans for the long-term treatments that I need, only to find out at the end that I still owed them above and beyond my so-called 100% CDCP coverage.

I haven't had coverage in several years, and in that time have lost a few molars to impacts/infection, so it's very reassuring to know I can finally get the care I need.

I learned about this tip a few months ago and it blew me away with how well it worked, consistently.

These are my favourite kinds of insights into gamedev, the little problems that need to be solved to make it "work".

The AI bubble was inflated based on the idea that we need bigger models that both are trained and run on bigger and even larger GPUs. A company came along that has undermined the narrative - ways both substantive and questionable - and now the market panicked that $200bn got wasted on AI capex

So I finally have the PC transplanted into the new case (Thermaltake s200tg), I immediately fired up Baldur's Gate 3, and found I was getting temperatures ~20-30°C lower than before!!

I was not expecting that much of a leap, from pushing 86°C to sitting comfortably ~60°C, I'm shocked. Great upgrade

I had such terrible time trying to locally buy pc case fans, between several stores, that I ended up buying a whole new case that came with the fans that I wanted anyway.

My trip back to Ontario to visit with family for a few days is, for various reasons, the optional Malenia boss-fight of family get-togethers, and my brain and body are suffering the anxiety from it.

This will be the last time I have to masc for them, after that, onwards to new gender horizons!
