This is actually starting to feel like the plot of a Mario & Luigi game.
It reminds me of Bowser's Inside Story in particular.

(btw it's meant to be wearing a cloak and the thing at the top of the staff is meant to be a crystal, I know it looks crappy, I'm better at pixel art than traditional art or digital art)
