Blackwork cross stitch work in progress. The end result will be some number of stacked hearts, each in a different color and with a different fill pattern. So far, the top heart is red with a fill that is nearly floral. The second heart is orange and the fill is more “large hollow x” based. The third heart, not at all complete, is yellow. The fill feels a bit like an echo of a plus sign.

I admire Newsom’s restraint on the topic of Texas law enforcement. Because I remember how dozens of Texas cops in body armor chose to listen to children scream in terror and pain rather than act. I remember they actively prevented helpers. And I remember they reelected that sheriff.

Stitched blackwork snowflake on blue fabric. Blackwork is fine line style of cross stitch and should be ideal for snowflakes - delicate stitches for a delicate subject. But the result in this case is unbalanced - too crowded on the left and with shapes distorted by the grid required to stitch on even weave. The stitched snowflake is in white on a dark blue aida fabric. It’s still in the neon green working hoop and the whole project rests against a mustard yellow backdrop. Looks cool as long as you don’t look too hard, just like AI art.

I got a pattern that turned out to be AI slop. And I know better - never buy a pattern that doesn’t have a stitched example but we all make poor decisions from time to time. Stitched it anyway and got a super wonky snowflake for my efforts.

If undocumented migrants get free healthcare (as is being asserted), why would anyone ever provide ID to the hospital?

Isn’t it interesting that the former spiritual advisor to Donald Trump, the 79-year-old known Epstein associate, has been found guilty of sexually abusing children? And by interesting, I mean “totally expected and absolutely on-brand”. Molesters of a feather flock together!

The known Epstein associate’s policy on non-citizen children is to separate them from their family with no records. The Epstein co-conspirator currently traffics the adults into forced labor in other countries. The known Epstein associate is still doing mad Epstein crimes.

A regular reminder that an intimate of the Epstein human trafficking crime syndicate has instructed ICE to remove children from their families without keeping records and without due process. Armed agents of the federal government are disappearing kids at the behest of a convicted felon.
