It's... weirdly cathartic writing LQR the way he is in TFORM... His characterization, while somewhat based on how he is in canon, is largely inspired by my grandmother... The way he makes LWJ feel is how she made me feel All The Time as a young adult before contact was mutually cut off.

Lan Zhan who wears grey sweatpants to the gym and Wei Ying who spends the whole time Looking Disrespectfully only to find out* Lan Zhan has worn a dance belt to work out since puberty.

I didn't finish Chapter 6 of TFORM today like I thought I might (I've had a migraine all day), but it is *officially* the longest single work I have *ever* written. ✌️

I... feel totally normal about this.
So normal, that this is 100% how I'm going to write omegaverse from now on, and I almost want to go back and rewrite every single omegaverse fic I've ever done to reflect this concept that, again, I FEEL TOTALLY NORMAL ABOUT.

Lmao maybe once I finish my prompts and get through at least the 1st act of TFORM. I don't want to lose the momentum I have rn by getting in too deep w/ another angsty fic (bc my Pirates AU *is* pretty damn angsty). I have a sordid history of dropping long fics bc I was distracted by other ideas 😅😅😅

It's so funny that this shows up on my timeline now, when I've been thinking about PotC a lot for the past few days and revisiting the thoughts I've had for a Wangxian Pirates AU 😂 Maybe this is a sign. Lol
