I think she's genuinely terrified, and not for her political life. She- or her family- has been threatened with grievous harm. This is the simple explanation and she's not alone in that sinking boat.

Surely, SURELY sending out a public statement like this on social media must be a violation of national security interests, yes?

It’s not that easy. The homeless shelter at the end of my street currently has over 500 beds available, yet there are 8 unhoused people in tents directly in front who refuse to use its services. They don’t want to abide by curfews or rules.

Respectfully, I disagree. Our family income puts us in a very comfortable place admittedly, but our little company has employed hundreds of vendors over the years with ethics and high wages. We love these people. We've worked very, very hard and yes, we've also been lucky along the way.

I'm center left myself, as is our entire circle of friends. Small sample size, admittedly, but I don't know a single person who wouldn't convict Mangione of murder.

The Law deals in specificity. The macro viewpoint is irrelevant. He murdered a man who’d done him no personal harm. Social media is not the real world- Luigi’s support comes from the very far left of the party. Those folks won’t be on the jury.

That's the same justification Prolife advocates use to bomb abortion clinics.

That CEO did not directly threaten the personal safety nor life of Luigi Mangione. Yet, Mangione was aggrieved--and likely under mental strain--and took unlawful matters into his own hands against a man who was unknown to him. This was murder and he'll be convicted by a jury of his peers.

You cannot target an amorphous "they". If someone breaks into my home and I need to defend myself that's one thing. Being denied coverage by a nameless bureaucrat is another. Defeat comes at the ballot box.

I'm oppressed because I'm not willing to murder someone I've never met? Okay.🤷

They would deny the coverage. And I still wouldn't shoot anyone in the back.
