I'm just salty because I had to go to work today. I was really looking forward to the Rapture.

I haven't read or watched Apothecary Diaries, so I can't compare.

I think her position as a healer is an integral part of who she is as a person, even though it might not be the main focus of the series. I think the fantasy and romance aspects are the main plot, so you could go either way, really.

I've watched the anime, and I currently own the manga (but haven't read it all yet). The main character is a pharmacist who falls in love with a prince after she treats him for poison. She ends up training to become an herbalist for the royal court.

OMG, I just saw someone post on FB, "For the Epsteinth time..." And I LOL'd.

Every time I go to a record store, I look for Portraits by Maribou State. I came across their most recent album the last time I went to Syracuse, and I came across this one at an HMV in York, England.

I'm always looking for their albums when I'm in a record store. This is the first one I've ever come across! I think I might just have to buy the others I want online.

I almost yelled, "Oh shit!" when I found it, but caught myself just in time 😂

Picked up Melody A.M. by Röyksopp at Rough Trade East in London. What a great record store! This album was a favorite of mine in high school. I think I first heard it maybe a few years after its 2001 release.

Rough Trade labeled this vinyl an "essential" 😁

I had to discreetly bow out of a conversation in the directors office today because the librarians were referring to nurses as "just nurses" and not professionals, and it kind of rubbed me the wrong way because I have to assume that's how they talk about us clerks as well.

My left hand holding up a can of Moxie, a soda primarily found in New England. The can is orange and says, "Distinctly Different" along the side. It has a picture of an old-timey pharmacist next to the logo. Moxie was originally sold as a medicinal drink in the late-1800's.

Go find a Moxie, it will change your life. I ran out of the Moxie I purchased in June when I went back home for my high school reunion. Fortunately, one of our security guards was there recently for vacation, and he kindly bought me another 12-pack 😊

I love this because it immediately gave me "Amelia's Notebook" vibes - which was one of my favorite books in the mid-90's.

Oof. I remember this happening to me in the winter. Then I'd have to soak them to get the dried salt out. It would leave a white chevron shape on the back of my calves 😂

The children's book character Captain Underpants (a bald superhero who wears a red cape and white underwear as his uniform), reminds library patrons to Drop Your Drawers at the library.

My library runs a program every year called "Drop Your Drawers" where we ask patrons to drop off packages of new underwear and diapers. The underwear goes to local elementary schools to replenish their supplies, and the diapers go to a local nonprofit.
