Platoon is a 1986 war movie produced by Hemdale Film Corporation and distributed by Orion Pictures. The NES game was developed and published by Sunsoft in 1988.

Metal Slader Glory has two distinct English fan translations that seem similar at first but provide very different experiences, not just with the text but in the UI execution as well! Always wondered why 4ST decided to delete the blog post covering this specific row (that included a comment from the game's programmer Tadashi Mukai), I guess the two resolved this issue privately?

I think some musicians really excelled at making the PSG subtle, or at least using it in ways that has you wondering if it's FM at times; MUSE's music contains some excellent examples

I think it's better for the song in the long run to at least have it sketched from beginning to end, as opposed to a beautiful sounding half of a song you can't finish lol

I'm impressed at how much was already in place by the time this demo was assembled! Don't know how I'd feel if those sci-fi corridors made it into the final game, though

A magazine page announcing a belated release of Space Fantasy Zone slated for 14th October 1995. (It failed to release on this date, or ever.) It wasn't just Palsoft that was unable to sell retailers on a cutesy shooter at that point, the planned release of Space Fantasy Zone around this time was cancelled due to the same market realities (as explained in the September 1995 issue of PC Engine Fan)

Their continuing to work with Stephen Rozner after he left the company gives me the impression that they were a little more relaxed
