Was on an AI course today with work. Happy to admit I have hugely underestimated it. Less happy to admit we are all so fucked. Even the guy giving the course couldn’t really answer our questions on the ethics of it and what we do about deepfakes.

ITV and BBC shows appearing on other streaming platforms and doing really well is one of the weirdest things about the current media set up. Turned on Disney+ the other day and there’s a massive section of absolute garbage UK TV. Love Island etc. So jarring.

Can’t say the lads aren’t going for it next season. We can debate the quality of the players they have recruited and if they could have got others instead but from a pure numbers perspective this very much looks like “going for it”.

Obviously “Stop Buying Chelsea Players In General” might be good advice (albeit Havertz has worked out) but fulfilling this role feels especially annoying. If Madueke works out will be less annoying of course.

I don’t know if Madueke is good or not really. It just feels like part of Chelsea’s business model right now is to sell young/home grown players to keep the conveyor belt of new signings coming in. Mason Mount and Gallagher both fulfilling this role in the past. Not sure Arsenal should be helping.

Trying not to be surprised at every transfer fee as it’s basically irrelevant now and as you say any comment on him will just increase the frustration when he bangs them in on day one against us but £70m seems like a lot of money.
