We were just doing plant cover transects with first year Biology undergraduates but they were struck by the diversity of bugs that can play a role in pollination. There is nothing more mind-blowing than observing nature!!! Hooray for these young naturalists!

These mayflies have emerged these days. They look like Baetidae and I find them everywhere in my neighborhood. The life span of an adult mayfly can range from a few hours up to two days. So I'm amused to see if they mate. But so far without success.
