Card number 78 from Tarots Egyptiens (Paris • 1875 CA). This edition published by Lo Scarabeo 2018. English translation of card title: madness, insanity. Subtitle, Extravagances. The card shows a person wearing the headdress of a jester or fool, walking and carrying a bindle and a Marotte. The length of the fool’s stride suggests hurry as a large spotted cat bites deeply into his calf. Traditionally, this image depicts the beginning of a journey.
