I watched a fox news reporter state that homeless people should be given involuntary lethal injections. "Just kill 'em" he said. I believe he's still working.

And his colleagues say nothing. In my years of teaching about Germany in the 30s, I never imagined I would hear those ideas here. But he says it openly, without emotion, on a popular TV program. If Fox doesn't fire him, they endorse this.

What's almost as shocking as his words is the lack of shock by his co hosts.

This would be a great opportunity for teachers to create lesson plans about "adultery": first, definitions, then examples from real life. Famous people would be excellent examples, and teachers could show videos and play audio of "Dear leader" committing adultery and speaking of sexual assault.

I live in NC, which is already gerrymandered. After all these states have gerrymandered the opposing party out of relevance, our country's elections become pretty much meaningless. As Yeats said, "... Things fall apart; the center cannot hold..."

Having the 10 commandments in class would be a great teaching opportunity. I always taught with examples, so there would be plenty of resources for the adultery commandment. First you'd have to define adultery (having sex outside of marriage). Then you could simply use the President as an example.
