Reductions in Force not required by shutdowns, have never happened in any previous shutdown, and a judge has ruled they are illegal.
The shutdown is an excuse, not a reason, for them to do what they wanted to do: destroy government.

Regular reminder that Axios stories saying Dems are about to cave are likely sourced from GOP staffers trying to make it happen.
Doesn't mean it definitely won't happen. But it's like those NYT stories that Harvard is considering caving (they haven't). The anonymous source was trying to manifest it.

โ€˜You Are All Terroristsโ€™: Four Months in a Salvadoran Prison

40 men Trump sent to CECOT tell the NYT they were beaten, tortured, and sexually assaulted. The details are worse than you can imagine.

We canโ€™t let them get away with this. Miller and the other architects of this sadism need to go to prison.

Trumpโ€˜s brilliant plan of 50 year mortgages means that after your first 20 years making huge interest payments to a bank you will have paid down almost none of the principal and they will still own the house you are living in with 30 years to go. A scam from a career con man.

1/ The US Government has quietly removed a memorial to Black soldiers who died in World War II from the Netherlands American Cemetery in Margraten, South Limburg. The move follows a complaint from the right-wing Heritage Foundation to the American Battle Monuments Commission. โฌ‡๏ธ

May we rage when we must and rest when we can.
May we build the peace we so desperately need.
May we turn our hands, in all things, to the justice that peace requires.

The only liberation is a shared liberation. May we have courage sufficient to build it.

It's never too late to grasp that if someone works full-time and receives SNAP, it means YOUR taxpayer dollars are subsidizing the COMPANY because it refuses to pay them a livable wage.

Trump is appealing the judicial order to pay full SNAP benefits by tomorrow.

Heโ€™s spending tax payer dollars going back to court to try and avoid giving folks money they are legally owed.

Heโ€™s starving 42 million people because to him they are leverage.

Itโ€™s enraging.

A lot of the people you see arguing against food assistance are actually on food assistance. They work at Walmart or a convenience store and think they are deserving, but others are not.

This is projection and the way that the 1% keep poor people pitted against poor people so they donโ€™t look up.

I just want to point out that the asshole and his minions have normalized:

1) taking bribes and gifts from foreign countries
2) pump and dump stock and crypto schemes and massive insider trading
3) killing fishermen in international waters with no proof or basis to do so
4) threatening to annex

OpenAI pirated large numbers of books and used them to train models.

OpenAI then deleted the dataset with the pirated books, and employees sent each other messages about doing so.

A lawsuit could now force the company to pay $150,000 per book, adding up to billions in damages.

Walmart, McDonalds and Amazon are the largest employers of people who require SNAP assistance.

The CEOs earned between 18-40 million last year, 1000x their median employee income.

They took billions in profits, while their workers relied on SNAP to survive.

Wanna fix fraud and abuse?

Fix that.

The fact a *single* Amazon full-time employee requires SNAP benefits should be a crime. The fact Amazon is the largest employer of SNAP recipients is a disgrace. Jeff Bezos shouldnt be that rich; he should be in jail.

Could you imagine the reaction if Joe Biden admitted something like that?
