Great film! It was one of the first films I went to a midnight screening of.

A โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜… review of Deadstream (2022) Nailed the obnoxious streamer vibe perfectly. Started small and then just kept raising the stakes without going OTT. Very impressed.

46/ Deadstream

Exceeds expectations and then some.

Great lead performance from Josh Winter (also writer and director).

Turns out I've never seen this and must have only caught the sequels.

It's been so long since I saw it that I can't remember. I think it was more high profile than high quality?

I agree that in the various English language versions I've seen from around the world, there's always a tendency for POC to be voted off earlier

44/ The Night House

I love a film that has you looking over characters shoulders and examining every shadow in a scene but this didn't quite manage it.

The visuals are impressive but are less subtle than I expected and held back for far too long.

A โ˜…โ˜…โ˜… review of Handling the Undead (2024) An achingly slow and somber take on the zombie genre with grief at its core. I don't know if the bizarrely subdued reactions are actually normal for Norwegians.

Renate Reinsve was excellent in The Worst Person in the World. Another strong performance here although the overall result isn't quite as impressive.

We decided this would be the perfect film to test out on our new TV and it was both visually sumptuous and emotionally devastating.

Somehow I had no idea this film existed. It feels like an old skool B movie with A movie money, (even with the budget cuts after Harrison Ford pulled out).

This does not feel like the same director as The Invisible Man.

Never seemed to get anywhere, just made a lot of noise along the way.

Many people lavish it with praise so maybe I'm wrong?
