Quite a stage presence!
How funny is it that Begonia Pope—the person who made the iconic Tom Baker scarf—mistakenly believed that she had to use all the wool she’d been given?
Her creation ended up being around 20 feet long.
Sort of a reverse–Spinal Tap Stonehenge scenario. (Accidentally making something way too big.)
You’re at Salt.
I need you at Pepa.

10.11.2025 22:56 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Literally two nights ago I saw someone on N. Charles Street, just drop his still-lit cigarette to the ground, before walking into a convenience store. I couldn’t believe how careless it was. He didn’t even attempt to step on it to put it out.
Probs almost EXACTLY how the Great Fire of 1904 started.
I’ve basically been here my whole life—but I echo this sentiment, 100%…

What an utter delight it was hearing Abeo Quartet in today’s Shriver Hall Concert Series performance at UMBC.
Their rendition of Felix Mendelssohn’s String Quartet № 1 in E-flat major, Op. 12 was sensational.
View of the JumboTron skeleton at Camden Yards, as seen from the retired-number plaza.
Walked by the ballpark this evening.
Saw the JumboTron skeleton in person.
4th alarm. Stay safe, Baltimore.

07.11.2025 16:59 — 👍 10 🔁 4 💬 1 📌 2You should! You can even go thru the literal doorway that your ancestors walked thru when they stepped on American soil for the very first time. My dad and I both stood on that threshold, holding his grandfather’s pocket watch—contemplating the past, the present, and the future. Made quite a memory!

It’s located in Battery Park. I went there with my dad back in 2019, to celebrate the 150th anniversary of his grandfather sailing from England to the USA in 1869.

05.11.2025 12:05 — 👍 7 🔁 2 💬 2 📌 0The St. Louis Cardinals traded Tito Landrum to the Baltimore Orioles on 8/31/1983. Landrum ended up being a crucial addition for the Birds—he hit the pennant clinching home run in the 1983 ALCS, won a World Series ring—and then Baltimore traded him back to the St. Louis Cardinals on 3/25/1984!

i was going to say how joe flacco's 102.6 passer rating with cincinnati through 4 starts would be 10th overall in the league WHICH IS A TRUE STATEMENT but then i saw that lamar's 136.7 passer rating is nearly 20 points higher than #2 that's fucking ridiculous go birds
