I would love to read a deeply reported piece about the loneliness of the recently retired generation. In the past 50 years there’s been a greater trend of moving to a new community when you retire and it’s absolutely having negative social effects

In the books, Ilya/Shane is equally sex scene-forward but because you get their inner monologues the sex scenes offer stronger characterization and emotional development. Whereas in the tv show, it’s more tilted towards just being hot scenes that do mild characterization
