I've often felt that union families have a lot in common with military families. Too much burden is placed on both groups of families and not spread evenly throughout the population. Feels like it could be a natural alliance. The nation needs to be reminded of their struggles as often as possible.

The book The 2nd Machine Age covered a similar topic historically. Factories first placed electric pwr in a central location because that's what they knew from hydro power. It took decades to see distributed power on factory floors as the norm. The true impact of AI will take a bit of time.
