As we bid farewell to a once-in-a-generation scholar in education, let us remember Luis for his unwavering commitment to fostering a world where every student's unique knowledge is celebrated and integrated into the fabric of learning.

His warmth, compassion, and dedication to empowering students from all backgrounds endeared him to colleagues and students alike. Most importantly, he was a loving father (and a recent grandpa!), an amazing husband, and an inspiration to anyone who ever met him.

The kindest and most brilliant human being, Luis dedicated his life to understanding the intersection of culture and education. His groundbreaking work, notably in the concept of "funds of knowledge," has transformed how educators approach teaching and learning.

Beyond heartbroken to learn that Prof. Luis Moll, an esteemed educator and researcher whose pioneering contributions have left an indelible mark on the field of education, passed away this morning. Luis and his wife Ana became our 'foster' family while in Tucson.
