17.02.2026 12:21 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Huh. I kinda disagree. I think it's not pessimistic enough.
The article says that russia will probably be able to keep waging war "for the foreseeable future" and I don't think they can. At some point their capabilities will fall under the threshold needed to not outright lose.
I think the chance that Putin will not live to see the end of this war, is rising by the day.

According to Rheinmetall CEO Papperger in an interview with Table Today, there is currently a lack of funding for #Ukraine and much more could be provided in terms of military aid if only someone would pay for it. Papperger listed ammunition, air defence systems & tanks among the potential supplies.

How do you propose we prevent the russians from buying transistors _somewhere_ in the world?
Too much talk, not enough action.

That's what russia 'accomplished' in the last decades.
I have an idea:
The US could send some humanitarian aid!
Just kidding. /s
I guess it's better than nothing.

Maybe there's still a spot free in the basement below Assad's apartment.

By refusing to use our wealth & power to defend even a European democracy, we showed dictators everywhere that aggression pays.
That was the death blow. We did this to ourselves.
Reduction. Right. To ZERO.

He slightly misspoke.
What he meant to say was
"Otherwise _I_ am going to miss a great opportunity"
