Knight / Man-at-Arms in the Order of St. Lubomir, Ruthovia

An illustration of Danse Macabre, my original character and boss in a game that doesn't exist. She’s a bone-pale woman with sculpted, tentacle-like hair that frames her face, blood-red eyes and a strapless dress that appears to be part of her body, made of bones and blood and meat. Rib bones curl up from her back and around her arms. She runs her fingertips along the top of a skeleton’s skull, blood dripping down from her hand and pouring over it as cold blue light appears in its eyes and its jaw hangs open rapturously. She smirks and watches the process. Still really love this piece — Danse is a fun character to draw, and I feel like this does a great job of encapsulating the vibe of her first phase as a boss character: elegant skeleton-summoning blood queen. It's really cool that she actually ended up becoming a character in a game, too (Drop Pockets)! Anyway, I love evil women. I love evil blood women. I don't know why. They're just good.
