Champions of exoneration justice gathered at the Klau Institute for Civil and Human Rights Wednesday to discuss their motivations to eliminate the death penalty.

An appeals court has granted a stay of execution for Robert Roberson, who was to be the first U.S. inmate executed for shaken baby syndrome. The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals ruled he deserves a new hearing, questioning the syndrome's validity.
