I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I had a blast reading and researching it.

Just saw #FantasticFourFirstSteps and loved it. But I want something like this in a sequel. I want this very, very much.

18.07.2025 05:43 β π 16 π 5 π¬ 0 π 0Denise Gough not getting an Emmy nomination is a crime against the Empire.
In fact, all of the women in Andor brought it in particular this season: Genevieve O'Reilly, Faye Marsay, Elizabeth Dulau, and especially Adria Arjona all deserve every possible accolade. But Gough's is the biggest snub.
I just saw an ad that said "Seniors Born 1973-1979..." and now I want to punch EVERYONE.
14.07.2025 15:10 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I don't often close my office door while working at home -- it feels rude to my wife. But today I decided that I was going to, to make myself focus -- and boy did it work.
It might be my new paradigm (although I can tell the πΏοΈ didn't love it).
I bet you keep this GIF in your back pocket, just waiting for a moment like this...

Is death cold? Or can it be...hot? "Steamy," even?
We're still not ready to announce what Byron Gray, @patriciavilletto.bsky.social, and I have been working on -- but it's not what you think.

I love music that takes me somewhere. I love VOICES that take me somewhere.

Going forward, I'll be working more with my partners in Massive Chaos, Inc., developing new projects for animation and comics. We're fortunate to be building what I think is a good reputation in the industry, and we're always looking for the next thing to sink our teeth into!

Cartoons have replaced comics as my medium of choice. Everyone's writing path is different but I've found it easier to make inroads in animation than comics (and the pay is significantly better). I still plan to write lots and lots of comics before I'm through, but animation is where it's at.

Animation lets me indulge my passion for genre in a way that neither comics nor live-action do. I like to see my ideas with dynamic, evocative visuals -- even the strictest editorial environments have given me a lot of freedom. In order to think outside of the box, you must first have a box.

A promotional poster for the Sonic Prime animated series.
Despite the recent publication of my first book and 14 years publishing a webcomic, when I think of writing these days, animation's the first thing that comes to mind. Sonic Prime was my last produced work, for which I wrote three episodes, but I'm under contract developing a new show right now.

I didn't realize how much I needed to hear words like that from a person like that.
One of the great movies of all time. It continues to boggle my mind that Spielberg was in his early 20s at the time.
Each sequel is worse than the one before it -- and Jaws 2 isn't great.
Will and I have been putting out Hunter Black for fourteen years now and maybe, just maybe, the end is in sight (but still a long ways off).

But what happens when he starts to form relationships along the way? Is his new chosen family enough to give a dying man something to live for...or will he be betrayed once again?
03.07.2025 21:16 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Hunter is a criminal, a former assassin-for-hire, who was betrayed by his clients and now scours the Known World for their identities...and a little payback. Unfortunately, he's dying from the wasting disease known as the Hunter Blight, with only his magic sword -- the Revenger -- to sustain him.

Along with my partner William Orr, I wanted to make a story that combined two of my favorite genres (there's that word again): swords and sorcery fantasy and film noir.

I love MEDIUMS. Comics, TV, film, prose -- even verse. I love it all and can tell stories in each.
That's who I am...as a writer.

Who am I as a writer?
I tend to write about FAMILY, whether blood or chosen. So many of my personal struggles come down to family and so my life plays out through stories about the people we love most and the people we're stuck with.
