My edition of "Michael Kohlhaas" by German writer Heinrich von Kleist (1810) – designed, layed out and illustrated as part of my Bachelors Project in Graphic Design. Featuring a pen and ink scene for each of the 13 chapters as well as custom themed initials and ornaments.

Today, June 18th is Sir Paul McCartney's 83rd Birthday. Did you know that along with being knighted in 1997 he was also granted a coat of arms in 2001?

I don’t really think I have a satisfying answer to that. I guess I’ve really just been using hatching in my drawing forever and I’m very interested in historical art so engravings, etchings, woodcuts etc. are major inspirations for me.
