New York City alone in 2025 thus far had had 525 heat related deaths, according to their health department.
The connecting factor in all of those NYC deaths? No A/C

One of my coursemates (with all good intention) asked why heatwave and death is "such a big problem" in the UK.

There is a lot which goes into it- but the sad truth is that thousands DO die of heat related in the US every year. The US simply choses not to care about their passing.
