That's not how our political system works. There's idealism and realism, with the Greens continually favouring the former.

That was one of the worst interviews I've seen about one of the most inconsequential 'events' in Australian politics.

It all seems a bit performative really, particularly with the next election 3 years away.

Presumably investigations by the NACC need to take their course first, following the decision to investigate the 6 referrals.

The People vs Robodebt - shocking.
Almost as shocking as the program's decision to represent Rachelle Miller, a political operative and central to the government's role in the scandal, as a victim.

Gee Sussan sounds as though she's struggling to even convince herself about many of her own answers. Understandable given the division and lack of discipline in her own party, as well as her just lacking any real insight or talent #auspol

You pull the string a few times and it's readily apparent that there's onlu a small, underwhelming number of predetermined responses.

So in 2018 the Libs could've had their first female leader in Julie Bishop.
Fast forward 7 years and it's the Minister for Misappropriations who becomes the first female Liberal leader, beating out the Treasurer that never was.

The Shorten/Palmer/Hume show is great viewing. Combine those three with some of the ABC members, including McGrath, would be great viewing

Annabelle Crabb left the tie at home and chose the hot water bottle instead

Lots of coulds, woulds and shoulds is a telltale sign that either the opponent is not up to it or the author is heavily partisan, or both.

Jane Hume, chief haruspex.
The divine right of kings was erased many years ago, but it wouldn't be beyond anyone's imagination that the Coalition are seeking to bring it back, one divination method at a time.
Or perhaps another nod to MAGA.
Shot taken immediately after Jane Hume spruiks the merits of the Coalition's failed 'work from home' policy that it has sought to walk back

28.03.2025 12:24 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Labor needs to continue to play offense.
Taylor declining Chalmers' invitation to debate him reflects a clear weakness in the Opposition and should be exploited by Labor.
Similarly, other strong performers like Clare and Gallagher should be spoiling for a fight with their shadow counterparts.
His interviews have been better recently. I think with someone like Taylor, Speers knows he's wasting his breath.
I think that the Coalition's refusal to release costings and policy details is a reason why the polls are starting to swing.
