I have resigned as chaplain to synod as I can no longer be neutral and support all people.

My heart just sank when this happened. By voting for Bishop North’s amendment they left themselves no option to vote for full safeguarding independence.
I don’t know whether I’m more angry or sad.

Hard to overstate how catastrophic this is for global public health. The WHO has helped saved literally millions of lives, particularly those of children, from malnutrition, malaria, TB, HIV etc. Pure callous disregard for vulnerable humanity from Trump - as expected.
