A workbench with assorted tools

Just a little mise en place before trying out a new tool and technique 🤞 Slowly getting pen making back on track now that the water damage is addressed.

Big hole in the wall is repaired. Bench and essential tools are back in place so I can start turning again. Going to slowly reassemble the rest and make improvements - dedicated lathe stand, new storage.

White is rough to work with for sure

- Make blank cutting jig
- Make next 4 commissions
- Japanese eyedropper design
- Pocket pen design
- Inlays
- Next round of commissions

I need more hours in the day.

I'm not planning to sell these, unfortunately. I first saw robspenworks (Robert Sanchez) making them, and while I wanted one for myself, I think of them as "his" product.

And finally catching up on the backlog. A Spindle in McKenzie Penworks Clarity for a return buyer. Mid-capacity eyedropper (3.25-3.5ml). This had better be my last demo for a while 🤣

Today we have an Augur in Harley from Fountain Telling. This one has a brass detail in the section to mix things up, and a high satin finish (I'm thrilled how much luster and depth the blank has even without a gloss polish). This is the second Augur in the wild. Still refining the shape and process.

After enough obsession I'm ready to send this one out to Nibcake Workshop. Custom dimensions, including three sections! (Jowo 6, Bock 250, and Bock 380) They wanted clearance for stacks and big nibs, and a fun demo to show off their work. Blank is Blaze Orange Tint Demonstrator from The Pensmiths.

Pretty happy with this one at the end of the day! Custom design including sections for Jowo #6, Bock #6, and Bock #8 (see the cap clearance with the big nib).
