Thank you! I was toying around with a few ideas about what could be unusual about a photo, but when I saw that the #blueskyrelay prompt was #banshee, it all clicked into place!

"You have it?" she signed to the deaf ghost hunter. "A real #photo of a #banshee?"
"Yes" he signed back. "But cover your ears. She was screaming when I took it."
"Must have been a terrible scream if even the photograph is loud."
The woman chuckled at her joke.
He didn't.

The verse prowls
my desk,
a thin-ribbed fox
with inked fur
and failure
in its gait

its goal
is simple:
to leap
into print

but each time
it jumps
its legs
fail it
and the sky closes.

i watch it snarl
and tell it
some poems
are born wild
and
stay
feral.

Oh, interesting! Is that a technique you use often or is it something you're recently trying out?

A photograph of text reading as follows: I anticipated the dragon being a fierce, towering beast. And he was. But I didn’t expect him to be such a massive gossip. He slumbered on a pile of lost diaries and hidden love letters, and while his breath did burn foes beyond recognition, it was not with fire, but scathing remarks and a deadly sarcasm perfected through centuries.

I've been considering performing some of my Bluesky/Twitter stories at open mic nights and having the audience shout out words to pick my next #story, so I've asked friends what words they might shout out so I can fill the gaps in my catalogue. This is what I wrote for #gossip
