The Trump administration is building a national citizenship data system The Department of Homeland Security, with help from DOGE, has rolled out a tool that purports to be able to check the citizenship status of almost all Americans.

The Trump regime has created a system to search national citizenship data. Tools like this are used by authoritarian regimes to surveil people, suppress voters, and punish dissenters. This is another alarming and likely illegal development.

I am looking for congressional leaders to come out quickly and forcefully against this. We need unequivocal opposition. We need theatric demonstrations of defiance. We need to see leadership. Trump will steamroll us all if we display weakness. Where are our leaders?
