It’s disheartening to see Teen Vogue dissolved into Vogue and its political team let go. For years, it was one of the few mainstream spaces that made room for honest, radical commentary on justice, inequality & the world we actually live in. I’m grateful it gave me a home for so many of my op-eds

Yeah. I’ll say two of our (Americans) primary cultural foundations, white nationalism and immigration nation, have such equally strong roots. It’s why it’s so hard to eliminate the former completely - but the latter keeps the former from fully conquering society.

I did this last night and it was great. YES, I was a little nervous ahead of time, but it was EASY and FUN and INSPIRING and you should do it, too!

Can I also say, food banks and pantry’s and free lunches don’t usually give out snacks. And snacks are what keep you living, not just going. Living on lentils and beans and canned tuna does not make one an enthusiastic contributor to society.

Maybe for the comfort class. I don’t think reliable radicalization happens from distant images. Losing SNAP hurts people. More will be radicalized by hunger / abandonment than comfy political observers will be moved to action by a reno.
