I remember stories about some of those survivalist nuts buying those shelf-stable meal kits down in Texas when the state froze in 2021; they prattled about how they were going to be ready when society collapsed... and then didn't have water or heat to cook because they'd not gotten anything else..

Honestly, I knew things would move fast (they proudly yelled it to the world - so no "I didn't know he was gonna do THAT" doesn't count, people) but it's still insane to watch, and not in a good way. Canada is doing what they /should/ and the only thing a bully understands is being punched back. :(

Should be a thing for ANY API documentation. Show it correctly. Cross-link referenced objects, etc. I can't count how many times I've used some library and had to fight with the docs to even figure out where some specific config setting has to be passed, not to mention the structure.

I think Americans, blessed with relatively stable government for a long time, assume there is someone, some adult, who will step in and make things right before the President does anything REALLY bad.

I had no idea how much of governmental process was "because it's right/the normal thing to do" And then his previous administration ripped those guardrails out and the Rep Congress continued to tear it apart afterwards.
