Today, they grabbed a middle-aged reporter, pulled down her pants, and arrested her - All for asking if they had a warrant to take someone else into custody. And then they did a hit and run on the way out...

I've always been frustrated by people who throw out relationships as soon as there are arguments or challenges. I don't want to be one of those people. But at the same time, all of this is pretty bad for my mental health. I'm trying to set boundaries but it's hard.

I'm still really struggling with this. I don't want to hate a lot of people in my life but to say I'm disappointed really doesn't cover it. You still need to have friends and family somehow..

(Part 3) From an extreme conservative point of view, anything that doesn't make money is a net negative. People who rest too much might decide they actually enjoy it and don't want to work themselves to death or spend their money (which is their time!) on useless crap to soothe their loneliness.

(Part 2) They will actually twist their faces and sneer. A "Community organizer" isn't making any money. Thus their purpose is questionable. If an entity founded for Community aid became popular and/or made money (Even indirectly), they would hijack its resources and reputation for themselves.

(Part 1) think I understand why it is Conservatives despise the term "Community organizer". Not only do they consider Community Organizers shifty layabouts (rest and pleasure for its own sake - cardinal sin) they consider community itself pointless. You can see this when they say the word.

I don't believe in hell, but for his sake, I'll do him the favor of hoping it exists.

It is horrible and some of it is just distraction, but yes, regular people will suffer :(

Call someone who needs to hear your voice today. Tell them you are glad they are in your life. Ask them to do the same for someone who needs it.

Judaism has always emphasized the duty to work to make the world better. I'm not particularly religious but this is an aspect of the culture that I really appreciate.

Apologies for going on and on here but I'm just so frustrated. Humans are built to survive together, not separately. And doing that means sharing. If we share, we all survive. if we don't, only some of us do and they die out too, eventually. Fucking idiots.

Seems like we're basically going back to caveman days where whoever is stronger gets to hurt or steal from whoever is weaker with impunity. I'm probably exaggerating but not all that much. It's like we're dealing with a bunch of lizard brain on overdrive.

Unfortunately, once you start having Christians, or really any group that's supposedly has moral values, decide that -empathy itself- is a sin, I don't know where to go from there. There's nothing to appeal to. The Maga crowd are going on about how empathy is sin.

I do somewhat remember that stuff. I remember being so angry with various members of my family and telling them we would regret this and they poo pooed it.

Yeah, I'm never sure if this stuff is real or distraction from some other terrible thing that's going on. Sometimes, it's both.

The rich always worry about the coming revolution and the poor people coming for their heads. They cause revolutions by making people so desperate that they feel normal remedies (working hard, going to court, etc.) have nothing left to offer them. Not advocating for violence, before someone says it.
