The effort to uphold decorum by the committee members was maddening. I did appreciate Senator Durbin’s comment to Bondi that one day she will have to answer for actions.

I appreciate your observations of the proceedings. I jumped in and out of watching and found it really difficult to stomach the lack of civility on Pam Bondi’s part. As long as there’s no mechanism to force participation in the proceedings, they are a huge waste of time.

I’m late to the whole medbed thing and I appreciate the NYT article inclusion for reference. And after reading it I’m just struck by the truly evil people behind the myth. Their motives and intentions have nothing to do with helping people, just preying on intellectually challenged people.

It was sickening. Her kids saw that no one would help their mom and that kills me. We must do better.

Not ONE person went to her aid once the interaction became violent. We have to do better as a society.

A great follow-up to this data would be scenarios of what it would look like on the ground as it’s happening. Some people may feel they’re safe geographically but the migration north will definitely impact them.
