But I would feel a lot better having more things to celebrate about the dems, personally. I'm happy when I see things like this post showing people fighting back.

This makes no sense. It's 1 thing to say "I think dems are smart to e.g. vote for honoring CK" vs. "They all voted against it & you're too lazy to look it up!"

Surely you don't think all 250+ dems are using all tools available to fight at all times, & everyone else is just too dumb to see it?

Why can’t we agree that we should celebrate dems who are really fighting back, and try to amplify that, while at least some of us also want more of them to fight harder? I don’t understand this weird black and white take on this.

If you think the president is a tyrant and you're running for office to oppose him the only platform you can have is "Give us enough votes to impeach and remove this menace." Otherwise what's the point of electing you?

Watching all these centrist pundits stress the “civility” of Charlie Kirk’s style without addressing the ugliness of his substance is giving me a renewed appreciation of how the civil, polite White Citizens’ Councils conned the same crowd into thinking they were distinct from the cruder Klan.

They hear that and think, "Perfect. They let us off the hook and we don't even have to defend him."

Stop doing their work for them.

Demand impeachment and justice.

We're not letting anyone off the hook.

Any time I post something critical of dem leadership, someone comes to tell me that I’m doing the fascists’ work, and that I must embrace the dems uncritically.

I think accepting the current dem strategy is more likely to aid the fascists. You’re not going to get an energized electorate this way.
