Oregon legislature passes first-in-nation microgrid framework Gov. Tina Kotek, D, is expected to sign the bills that advocates say would protect buildings and other critical infrastructure against increasingly frequent power disruptions.

Thank you to the Oregon Legislature for passing HB 2065 and HB 2066! These bills create a “First-in-Nation” pathway to build community-owned microgrids. Props to Sustainable Northwest for leading the charge, and to all of the Making Energy Work coalition.
