A piece of concept art by artist Andy Chung, showcasing two variations of a futuristic Armored Personnel Carrier (APC).

The image displays two side-profile views of the same massive, low-slung vehicle, which has a unique articulated design. The front section has two very large wheels, while the rear section has a combined large wheel and tank-tread system.

The top vehicle is rendered in a weathered blue-grey color scheme, with two small figures in spacesuits next to it for scale. The bottom vehicle is rendered in a desert-tan color, with the letters "APC" on its side and two soldiers standing next to it for scale, emphasizing its imposing size.

Just finished Starship Troopers: Terran Command. It's not often I finish a game. Though some uplifting moral support from Hero of the Federation @breakfastruins.bsky.social helped.

A fun game, RTS and a nice tactical element.

Dumbest comment of the month...
It's for something I have not done btw, a new Mongoose book.

I did just watch the Wargame. The BBC 'english' is very of its time. It's grim, then Threads dials it to 11..

4/ The UK setting could be interesting, I'd pull in the quirks of UK culture... looking at you Atomfall..

3/ I do recall rats and dogs in the ruins..

So why do I recall this, well I've been listening to the 'To Morrows End Pod' and it occurred to me why not resurrect it.
Maybe use Cepheus Universal, set it 80s/90s for the event and the wakeup in say 2100

Could be 'fun'. Set it in say Manchester

2/ Alas it was just the one session. I'd generated a strange post nuke map from some thing on an ancient Apple computer. Dot matrix printout. Used the 1e rules as is. I recall the player Ric (of the Old Scrote Roleplayers) had a shed done of gear with him from the bunker he was in.

1./ Back in the 90s I ran a Twilight 2000 system 1e game set in London post Nuclear War, a lone survivor who'd been frozen before the war. Yes Morrow Project UK. I'd read Herbert's Domain sometime before it, so bits of that fell in to it. It was a lot of 'fun'

Alas my 1979 bought copy, all the inserts fell out and the book fell apart soon after. But i read it aged nine as I could not see the film, till the TV release..
