12.04.2025 15:59 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0My painting Josie in Yellow was accepted into the 92st Annual Juried Exhibition of the Hudson Valley Art Association. I am very honored and so pleased to be a part of what will be an outstanding exhibition! The opening reception is June 14th, 5:30 - 7:30 at the Lyme Art Association, Old Lyme, CT.

06.03.2025 00:32 β π 17 π 1 π¬ 3 π 0The Monhegan Church's windows are so beautiful to me, especially the various colors of the glass. Gorgeous painting!
04.03.2025 02:30 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Thanks so much! I did this drawing during Christmas time, so it was sporadically done over a few days. I couldn't say definitively how many hours, but my guess would be 10-12 hrs.

03.03.2025 20:04 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Hi! Hope youβre doing good!!
08.02.2025 00:15 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I love this so much! Iβve always been drawn to abandoned industrial buildings. When I lived in Connecticut, I could roam and explore. In LA now, and canβt do that so much.

24.01.2025 18:10 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This is beautiful. It says a lot with very little. I see the fear, power, and hope in those eyes.
24.01.2025 17:45 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Monhegan. I woke early and heard this haunting wailing sound coming from the ocean. It was mysteriousI I was compelled to investigate. As I followed the sounds, I was lead to this beautiful misty sunrise. Oh, turns out the haunting sounds were mating seals.
9x12, oil on Sourcetek linen panel.
Thank you so much!
24.01.2025 05:58 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thank you! Yes the traps are difficult to simplify, especially in the foreground.
22.01.2025 21:14 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I also love love love old pick up trucks. The trucks on Monhegan Island are some of the best. Lobster traps, however, are not on my list of favorite things to paint, but they need to be in the painting. This is 9 x12, oil on linen.
22.01.2025 20:34 β π 25 π 2 π¬ 1 π 0This portrait painting is 11x14, oil on linen. I had tried many colors before going with the yellow shirt, afraid it would be too distracting. But I think it looks right.

21.01.2025 21:06 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I first went to Monhegan in the late 90βs. Missed a few years to move to CA and start a family, but manage to trek us all out there. My kids now live the island and ask to go every summer. Itβs my favorite place on this planet.
