We have the same tradition ever since the family we shared Thanksgiving with while stationed at Guantanamo Bay played it as their tradition.

We cancelled our trip to Punta Cana to pay for Sophie’s knee treatment. Absolutely no regrets.

In August of 1983 I left El Dorado Hills for the Marine Corps, in 2005 I retired from the Corps & started at the VA.

Today I retired from the VA, 42 years of government service.

Looking forward to the next chapter.

I’ve discovered that sauces truly make a meal. Tonight we had steak bowl with roasted corn, avocados, red onions, cherry tomatoes, & cucumbers with a cilantro sauce. It was delicious.

Time for the journey home.

On the train, leaving Milan heading to a few days in Bellagio. Jesse Waldman on the headphones, my honey sitting across from me. That’s a good adventure.

7 hours is quite respectable, maybe there won’t be any hills….

Spring is my favorite time of year. It’s like we all get a fresh start each year.

I think the bigger issue is snow flake Jammie’s after the spring equinox.

Life just feels different here. Just something about having your toes in the sand.
Big life changes coming up, much uncertainty too. Maybe looking for a little clarity in the waves…

The Pupsicle is wishing I would quit working so we can go for our walk.

I love baking, but don’t really care for sweets so we end up feeding the leftover pie to the raccoons & foxes across the street. They don’t seem to mind.
