Some demographics:

48% of SNAP recipients work full time. 39% of SNAP recipients are kids. 20% of SNAP recipients are seniors.

And this will disproportionately affect folks from marginalized groups which are already getting attacked and beaten down from every direction right now.

It's not just November... Anyone in Texas whose SNAP dispersal date was after Oct12 did not get October's benefits (the claim is they are merely "on hold" until the shutdown ends).

So yeah, "we don't need food while they sit and not reopen the government".
