Amid Federal Intrusion, Field of Norton Challengers Expands Growing opposition to Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton's reelection bid, with D.C. Council member Robert White and others questioning her effectiveness.

“You need somebody who can maneuver on both sides & not bring the delegate seat any ill will from the executive or council,” Brown said. “…Someone who can continue to build those relationships & use that when they’re advocating on behalf of the District.”

🧵A busy and enlightening evening at the Go-Go Museum and Cafe yesterday listening to powerful women discuss how to preserve and extend home rule! Glad to have spoken with a true DC/Ward 8 gem, LaRuby May, who freedom fights for often voiceless residents through the Courts and through legislation.

Great to have also chatted with @dcdemocrats President Charles Wilson, who is leading the Party during tumultuous times.
These spaces remind me that DC may be small in population, but we are a mighty city. My resolve is strengthened to continue the fight for full representation! #deirdrefordc
