Even when the temps are below zero, I go to this spot on the river, and the Bald Eagles are there.
They'll find any small hole where the water isn't frozen over and catch fish from it.

Still my fav unplanned shot as this happened quick as a flash with no time to prepare for this beautiful little stoat. Not the best details but the best memories 👌🏿

I was wondering what the phytoplankton feed on, but it couldn't be something that large, could it?

I'm not sure what the red ones are, but the little threads are the phytoplankton.

What do the phytoplankton eat? I'm curious if it's hard to locate the patches they congregate in, or if it is widespread.
