I had the chance to chat with and be interviewed by some of the students. Later, we joined a meeting with teachers to discuss exciting future plans for our 'Classroom to Careers' project.

When I first met the Palestinian Ambassador in November 2023, Statehood was a pipe dream.

Last week I could look him in the eye and say UK Labour MPs in a UK Labour Government made it happen.

Yesterday, I was delighted to give school leavers in my constituency a chance to speak with key employers across several different industries, to give them an opportunity to learn what roles are available for them after school.

What a wonderful weekend I had in Glasgow South West - Celebrating 20 years of Tea in the Pot, a Family Fun Day at BAE, a Community Fun Day at Rosehill HA and the South East Integration Network Community Event at the Hidden Gardens! Accompanied by Anas Sarwar, Vonnie Sandlan and Mo Ameen.

I was delighted to welcome Minister Stephanie Peacock to Glasgow South West – showcasing some of the fantastic places and people that make our constituency so vibrant.
From enjoying lunch at Pakistani Street Food with Cllr Saqib Ahmed, to visiting Nethercraigs and the historic Crookston Castle.

This UK Labour Government has made ensured ship-building is Glasgow's Past, Present and FUTURE.

No serious government can continue to function with the level of contempt the SNP has for our defence and shipbuilding sector. I welcomed the £10bn of Norwegian govt investment and 2000 jobs the UK Labour govt secured meaning shipbuilding will grace the Clyde in Govan for years to come.

Cardonald Parish Church has kindly offered their hall as a temporary kids’ library - let’s not keep the children of Cardonald, Mosspark and Corkerhill waiting any longer.

It's such a relief that Albert Drive has now reopened, following a period of significant disruption for the local community, residents, and business owners.

I was pleased to welcome Diane to Parliament with my colleague, Terry Jermy MP. Diane is a passionate advocate for Target Ovarian Cancer and is working to raise awareness of this disease.

The country is deeply shocked and utterly disgusted by the horrific scenes of mass killings and starvation in Gaza over the weekend.

I’m working closely with Dr. Mohammed Mustafa to help deliver a mobile maternity hospital into Gaza, to provide urgent care for women and children in desperate need.

Credit Unions should be able to serve the communities in which they operate, with particular attention to those on low to moderate incomes.

In England, dormant assets held by the Bank of England can be used as capital to support the growth of credit unions, but this is not available Scotland.

This gave MPs a critical opportunity to hear directly from doctors, and the film’s director and producer about the horrendous attacks medics face in Gaza.
