Really enjoyed the real-life stories paired with wider context in this book, but mostly, and unexpectedly, the opportunity to reappraise my teenage years. Also, made me think about how well we prepare and support our children through this stage of life. Also, much is made of school as the stage /1

CW suicide: just in case part of this blog was a response to me. Pointing out suicide stats amongst autistic people is a reasonable response to O'Sullivan's book. For some of us, managing this risk, as a direct consequence of failures in our education/SEND/MH system is very real.

These designs were added to heavy-duty paper plates using tissue paper, black card, and paint. They all follow the classic orange & black colouring, with a bit of gold detail and the children all chose different ideas, stories, or myths that they had been learning about as the inspiration for their designs. We also looked at photos of original museum pieces to help with decoration and the style of the images.
I've been back to North Newton Primary in Somerset today, where the Year 5/6 children have been creating Ancient Greek ceramic designs. Some incredible results and the ideas behind them were even better. π€©

What Britain looks like after Brexit DANIEL HANNAN JUN 21, 2016 It's 24 June, 2025, and Britain is marking its annual Independence Day celebration. As the fireworks stream through the summer sky, still not quite dark, we wonder why it took us so long to leave. The years that followed the 2016 referendum didn't just reinvigorate our economy, our democracy and our liberty. They improved relations with our neighbours.
Happy Daniel Hannon Day to all who celebrate it. I hope you all enjoy the fireworks as we mark perhaps the worst piece of political forecasting going.
